The Community Builder
ROLE: CONCEPT + CREATIVE DIRECTION
The Caterpillar Foundation needed an engaging way to educate current and future CAT Inc customers on their new strategic focus. The solution was an immersive experience—The Community Builder—that puts visitors in the shoes of decision makers as they make key choices about resilience in the community through natural infrastructure, traditional construction, and investment in skills.
Throughout their journey, attendees encounter randomized natural disasters, and were faced with making decisions to build back more resilient communities. The activation served as an engaging experience that exposed them to the tradeoffs of their decisions and helped them understand the different types of community builders.
As the Foundation refined its mission, we also worked with them to relaunch their website and select marketing materials for partners, donors, and their employees. This included collateral such as infographic displays, social media content, and impact reports.
