TIDE Film Festival

ROLE: CREATIVE DIRECTION, DESIGN

The TIDE Film Festival (TIDEFF) celebrates the power of storytelling by filmmakers of color. Each year, the festival hosts 20+ filmmakers and community members for a weekend of showings, panels, and creative workshops.

 

When I began working with the team in 2019, they had a logo but had yet to build a system for their brand identity. I worked with them to develop a their visual language and systems around their existing logo.

Our goal was to give TIDEFF a more reputable and consistent presence and to build out their brand equity. Throughout the year, I serve as their Creative Director and Designer. My main role is to help steer and develop the brands identity across all channels. This can consist of brainstorming creative ideas of how and where we show up, sourcing and art directing designers and motion graphics, and overseeing and executing all design assets for the festival.
